Actor Stops by Chocolate Syrup & Stories

June 17, 2006

One of our book groups met yesterday to discuss “The Boy Who Loved Anne Frank” by Ellen Feldman. We were already expecting a special guest, Author Louise Shaffer (friend of Ellen Feldman) Boy were we surprised when we received a call from Steve Press, Professor of Theatre & Speech at Dutchess Community College. He played the part of Peter Van Daan on Broadway for over 800 perfomances. He actually was the boy who loved Anne Frank! He came to the book discussion and donated a script, with his notes in the margins, to our library!! Our thanks to both Louise and Steve for coming to visit.
